Assistant Toddler Teacher
About us:
Skytown Preschool is a cooperative play-based preschool that fosters an environment where we honor each child’s individuality and encourage curious exploration. In our co-opt model parents actively participate in the classroom alongside the teaching team. We maintain a 1:3 adult-to-toddler ratio to ensure individualized attention and high-quality care for each child.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and compassionate Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our lead teacher and participating parents to support and guide the toddlers in their daily activities. This position requires a love for children, an appreciation for play-based learning, and a collaborative spirit to support both kids and their families in our preschool community.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool or early childhood setting.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
A deep respect for each child’s unique developmental needs and interests.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of parents and teachers.
Hours & Compensation:
Monday - Thursday, 8:15am-3:15pm; Friday 8:15am-1:15pm
Pay: $20-24 Depending on Education & Experience
Paid Time Off, Sick Leave, 401(k) match

In our co-op model, parents actively participate in the classroom alongside the teaching team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Teacher who can support both our Toddler & Preschool program. In this role, you will work closely with our Lead Teachers as well as participating parents to support students in their play activities and as they develop play skills. This position requires a love for children, an appreciation for play-based learning, and a collaborative spirit to support both kids and their parents in our community.

Qualifications:
Required:
At least 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits, or active work to achieve this. Applicants with no (or not actively working toward) ECE credits will not be considered for the role.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn child care licensing requirements for safety

Ability to work collaboratively with a team of parents and teachers.
Current background check and health clearances.

Job Expectations:
Collaborate with lead teachers to run our daily program
Set up intentional classroom environments for play-based, emergent curriculum
Support parent participants on the floor by leading through example, explaining Skytown philosophy, and troubleshooting problems that arise
Supervise & run our Extended Day Program (from 1-3pm).
Hours & Compensation:
Monday - Thursday, 8:15am-3:15pm; Friday 8:15am-1:15pm
Pay: $23-25/hour, depending on education & experience
